Internet of Things

The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to a vast number of “things” that are connected to the internet so they can share data with other things.

Almost half of the people who live in cities are expected to live in water-stressed areas by 2025. This is because this precious resource is becoming more and more scarce. Then, smart water management solutions that use the Internet of Things (IoT) must be used to avoid a water crisis that was already in the works.

Before now, the water industry was mostly relying on a system called Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), but this system couldn’t keep an eye on the whole water distribution system because of the practical limitations of where it could be installed.
